Due to the characteristics of sustainable development of synthetic natural gas resources, the synthesis of natural gas (SNG) from coal or biomass based syngas has been paid more attention to. This is because SNG has the same gas properties (e.g. composition, calorific value, and combustion properties) of natural gas (95%). The advantage of coal or biomass in SNG is that it can make use of the existing transmission and distribution system (pipeline network) and the effective terminal using technology, such as: natural gas vehicles, thermal power plants, etc.. In addition, CO2 enrichment and separation can be achieved without the additional cost of raw material gas purification and fuel upgrading step byproduct CO2.
